Australia 2009: Fantasy Racers Update

Picking drivers was nigh-on impossible for the first race of the year. Trying to figure out the madness from the tests in Jerez and Barcelona proved to be very difficult, and of course, the first race showed that not everybody was showing their true form in Spain. However, the Brawn boys certainly did, and the one-two in Australia is well deserved. But how did BlogF1 actually do in the Fantasy Racers attempts? Here I will list the teams and the scores they achieved after round one of the 2009 championship.

So BlogF1 Racing is doing reasonably well, although not having any of the Brawn drivers scuppered the chance for the leading outfit. The one team that did have Jenson Button, Inner Pickle Racing, saved the squad from doom as none of the other driver choices scored points in the real Australian Grand Prix. Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate is not only a poor choice of name for a team, but also a poor team, with none of the expensive drivers doing particularly well and only Lewis Hamilton getting much in the way of points. The Italians and the Finns didn’t do so well either, so Team Finitalia was clearly the biggest disappointment of the first race.
